Dr Joel Bishop grew up in the Victorian rural town of Drouin. From an early age he developed a passion for Chiropractic due to both his aunty and uncle being Chiropractors.

 

Joel completed his Bachelor of Applied Science & Masters in Chiropractic at RMIT University in 2007 & has completed his Masters in Paediatric Chiropractic. 

 

Dr Joel enjoys living in a rural community and serving the Ballarat people.

 

In his spare time, he has a keen interest in music, keeping physically fit and active by running, cycling and playing sports such as football (Geelong is his team of choice!).

Dr Justin Weatherley grew up in Melbourne and graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Health Science. Justin has experienced chiropractic care at various stages of life and has always felt a great impression of what chiropractic care has to offer.

​

It wasn’t until Dr Justin was studying to become a chiropractor that he learnt of NeuroImpulse Protocol™ (NIP). He took an immediate interest in this cutting-edge technique, which is gentle yet at the same time highly precise. Justin has a strong conviction that care provided to patients should be done in a holistic way, and he has come to realise that NIP can provide this care which so many patients need and will greatly benefit from.

Dr Justin thoroughly enjoys keeping up with sport – specifically basketball, tennis and AFL & loves landscape photography, cooking and drinking really good coffee!

Dr Shethal grew up in Durban South Africa where she graduated in 2010 with a Master’s degree in Chiropractic.

 

Providing paediatric chiropractic care along with neuroplasticity has always been a keen interest of hers and it was during her own pregnancy that Dr Shethal was introduced to Dr Neil Davies technique, NeuroImpulse Protocol (NIP). Having a technique that is neurologically precise with maximum positive patient outcomes is important to Dr Shethal and the NIP treatment method aligns so well with her professional goals for patient care.

 

Dr Shethal has been providing chiropractic care in both South Africa and London over the past 11 years where she has gained valuable experience in all aspects of family chiropractic care including babies and young children.

 

Outside of work Dr Shethal loves spending time with her husband and son and is excited to now be a member of the Ballarat Family Health Care team and especially a clinic founded by the creator of NeuroImpulse Protocol, Dr Neil Davies. 

Upon meeting Dr Neil Davies and learning about Kiro Kids, Dr Valerie immediately wished to pursue the opportunity to learn from Dr Davies and his team; and work in a clinic where his values of kindness, service, and excellence were constantly in evidence. As Dr Valerie studied NIP, she loved its capacity to provide chiropractic care to expanded populations while more effectively addressing underlying causes of patients’ pain and disability; she became passionate about learning more.

 

Dr Valerie grew up in Texas USA where she earned a Bachelors degree in Biology and Crime & Justice Studies. While working as a forensic scientist after university, Dr Valerie earned a Masters in Forensic DNA and Serology, served as a volunteer firefighter, volunteer emergency medical technician, and Navy Reservist. After seven years in forensics, Dr Valerie decided to leave the lab to serve her community more directly as a police officer. A few years later, she was inspired to pursue her childhood dream of being a chiropractor and earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College. After graduation, Dr Valerie worked as a chiropractor in Alaska USA, in between working for the USA Navy.

 

Dr Valerie is very excited to now be part of the Ballarat community and have the opportunity to provide safe, effective chiropractic care to the community as part of the Kiro Kids team.
